What is a Care Request?
A Care Request is a simple way to ask one of your confirmed Caregiver 's for support when you need it—whether it’s for a quick walk, a drop-in visit, an emergency situation, or a weekend of full-blown pet parenting.
Here’s how it works:
Choose the pet who needs care.
Select a trusted Caregiver from your care community.
Add the details—date, time, instructions—and any important notes or documents.
Send the request—and await their response.
The Caregiver will be notified and can review and accept or decline your Care Request.
Once the Care Request is accepted, you're all set.
And yes—you can change your mind. You can revoke or cancel a Care Request at any time before the care is in progress. No awkward texts, no confusion—just simple, reliable coordination.
What Kind of Care Requests Can I Send?
Whether it’s a quick favor or a full weekend of care, Care Requests are designed to fit the everyday needs that come along with caring for a pet, whether its a small favor or more urgent request.
You can send requests for things like:
Walks, drop-ins, or potty breaks
Medication reminders or help administering treatment
Grooming, therapy, or training sessions
Overnight care or weekend stays
Emergency or last minute need
Just-in-case check-ins or quiet backup support
Each request is customizable—so you can decide what your pet needs, what to share, and who you trust to step in.
Who Can I Send a Care Request To?
You can only send a Care Request to people who have fully completed the process of joining your pet’s care community. This means they were invited by you and were confirmed as part of your pet’s trusted support circle.
Once someone has fully completed that process, they appear as a Caregiver for that pet — and only these confirmed Caregivers will show up as options when you’re ready to request care.
This ensures every Care Request goes to someone you selected, someone who accepted, and someone you trust to support your pet.
Managing Your Care Requests.
After you send a Care Request, you can check in on it anytime within the Care Community section of the app.
Here, you can:
See the request’s status (such as whether it’s waiting for a response or has already been accepted).
Review the details you included, like the type of care and any notes or attachments.
Make updates if plans change.
Cancel a request prior to the start date.
Resend the request if the caregiver hasn’t responded yet.
Look back on completed requests to keep track of past support.
Everything is designed to give you a clear view of your requests so you always know what’s happening, what’s next, and what your caregiver has access to — without needing to dig through messages or start from scratch.
