What is My Community?
My Community is where you can store your pet’s full network — the people and professionals who play a role in their life — all in one organized, easy-to-navigate place.
Here, you can keep track of:
Veterinarians and specialists
Groomers, trainers, and wellness practitioners
Daycare, boarding, or service providers
Friends, family, and anyone else connected to your pet’s world
It’s essentially your pet’s “people directory,” all neatly organized so you never have to hunt for names or contact details again.
What is My Care Community and the Caregiver Role?
Most pets already have a number of people who care about and love them — the friend who checks in when you're running late, the sitter who knows their routines, the neighbor who’s always willing to help.
My Care Community is the space inside The Riley Roo Way™ where you invite trusted people into your pet’s world. Once someone accepts your invitation, they become part of your pet’s caregiver community.
This simply means:
You’ve 'officially' chosen them as part of your pet’s support network.
They appear in your pet’s Caregiver list within the app
They are part of a group you may turn to for support when needed.
You can request their help anytime through a Care Request.
It’s a straightforward way to get support from the people who already care about your pet — with clarity, intention, and trust built in.
Who should I invite as a Caregiver?
You should invite the people you already trust with your pet — the ones who naturally show up, help out, or know your pet well enough to step in when you need support.
Caregivers can be:
A close friend or family member
A neighbor who has helped before
A sitter or walker your pet already knows
Someone who understands your pet’s needs and is comfortable helping when asked
Think of caregivers as the people you’d feel good handing the leash to — the ones who care about your pet, respect your routines, and want to support you when you need an extra hand.
There’s no “right” number and no pressure to add many. Even one trusted person can make a meaningful difference.
Invite those you rely on, those your pet feels safe with, and those who would naturally be part of your pet’s support system in real life
Managing Your Pet's Circle of Support.
Your pet’s Caregiver's may shift over time — people move, schedules change, and roles evolve. The Riley Roo Way™ is designed to reflect real life, giving you the freedom to update your pet’s care community whenever something changes.
You can simply remove them from your pet’s community to reflect that. It’s an easy way to keep everything current and ensure your pet’s world always matches the support system they have today.
💡 Roo Tip: Review your pet’s circle from time to time to ensure the people in their world are properly reflected.
Troubleshooting Invitations: Common Issues and Solutions
Sometimes life gets busy and messages slip through the cracks. If someone you invited hasn’t appeared in your pet’s care circle yet, here are a few things you can try:
A) “I don’t see my caregiver invitation listed.”
If you don’t see your caregiver, their invitation may have recently changed status — for example, from Pending to Accepted — and their placement on the screen may have updated.
If they help with more than one of your pets, you’ll need to add them to each pet’s circle individually.
This ensures every pet has the specific people who support their world, and it keeps each connection clear and organized.
💡 Roo Tip: Think of each pet’s community as its own little circle. Some people may belong to one, some to many — it’s all up to you.
B) “My caregiver hasn’t responded yet.”
If someone hasn’t accepted your invitation, there are a few everyday reasons this might happen:
They may have missed the email or haven’t had a moment to look at it yet.
The message may have landed in a promotions, junk, or spam folder.
The email address you used might be slightly different than the one they check most often.
They may simply need a reminder or a new invitation.
If this happens, you can always reach out to them directly or send the invitation again. Most of the time, a quick nudge is all it takes.
💡 Roo Tip: If your caregiver can’t find the invitation, you can easily resend it to them.
